Our public events are carefully designed, seasonal experiences with evocative themes. Join us for an intimate sensory experience enjoying our favorite pairings of musicians, chefs, sommeliers, and other flavor artists.
The emphasis is as much on the experience as the contributors - the chefs, sommeliers, event space, and guest musicians.
Here are a few of our "out-of-the-box" (if you will) programs, ready to go with just two weeks' notice.
Old World/New World
This program was our first and is our most popular program. Celebrating the music, wine, and food of the Old World (France, Italy, Germany, Spain, and others) and the New (Argentina, the United States, Chile, Australia, South Africa, and others), guests are taken on a full-sensory journey around the globe. Genres guests will delight in during this program are: Tango, Art Song, Blues, Folk, Opera, Flamenco, Classical, and Jazz.
A Woman’s Voice
Specifically designed to celebrate the power of the female voice in today’s world, Five Senses Tastings has customized a four-course music, wine, cheese, and chocolate pairing that celebrates the unique and wonderful contributions of female composers, winemakers, cheesemongers, and chocolatiers. From the Baroque to Joan Baez, from X to Y, we tell the story of four iconic women through all our senses. Women – and all guests – will leave feeling invigorated and with increased knowledge of history, art, and its impact on our modern world. Genres guests will delight in during this program are: Baroque, Musical Theater, Country-Rock, Folk, Classical, and Jazz.
Red, White, and Blue
To celebrate the rich cultural fabric of the United States, our “Red, White, and Blue” program takes guests from East to West as we explore the music, wine, and food of this beautiful country. Guests will taste a wide variety of wines, both from expected (California, Washington, New York State) and slightly less expected (Virginia, Arizona, XY) places. Color is a big component of this tasting program, and guests will explore a number of different varieties of cheeses and chocolates along with their wines and musical selections. Genres guests will delight in during this program are: Blues, Jazz, Opera, Classical, Rock, Country-Rock, Musical Theater, and Folk.
Invitations are sent via email, and tickets are on a are first-come, first served basis.
