Virtual Wine Tastings That Bring Wine Country To You

It turns out there are a variety of virtual wine tastings available during a global pandemic. Whether you are looking for an intimate, private virtual gathering for friends and family, a virtual wine tasting hosted by a wine shop or winery, local restaurants hosting virtual food and wine pairings, or more in-depth virtual wine tasting classes, there are options for every preference. Given the variety to sift through, Carpe Travel pulled together a collection of virtual wine tastings that bring wine country to you so you can sip in the holiday season with your friends and family no matter where you are. She also pulled a few that just look fun, such as virtual wine tastings designed specifically for history and music lovers… that’s where we come in!

The value of art, experiences & being present with our Founder

In our conversation, we discuss the importance of being present, how to convince others that what you are doing has value – especially when it hasn’t been done before – and why as an entrepreneur it’s important to take risks, say yes, and it figure it out along the way. We also discuss what wellness looks like for an artistic entrepreneur, how Kala had to pivot during this pandemic and why asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. This conversation is filled with helpful tidbits for artists and entrepreneurs alike who aspire to create better experiences for people and who want to be innovative within their industry. Kala’s advice to founders? Be willing to embrace change, get comfortable with pivoting and most importantly, stay humble even when pursuing big ventures. Thanks, Talia!

Beauty is Not a Luxury on Savage Lifecast with Alexa Silvaggio

I was thrilled to chat with Alexa Silvaggio of Savage Los Angeles and hostess of the Savage Lifecast about our belief that #BeautyIsNotALuxury, but a requirement for our well-being. We talked about countering tendencies towards complacency and apathy with intention and the energy of our five senses to encourage full engagement with ourselves and the world in which we live. Moving on, we discussed orchestrating purposeful and transformational sensory events that unite our five senses in meaningful harmony using some of the most beautiful elements available to us: music, food, and wine. I loved our incredibly deep discussion about all things sensory… Now more than ever is the time to savor and find beauty in the small things. Thank you, Alexa!

Episode 31 – Firecracker Kala, a Childfree Opera Singer and Entrepreneur

I was thrilled to chat with Isabel of The Honest Uproar podcast where modern, childfree women share their life stories and discuss important topics for the kid-free community. I was so happy to share the story of my upbringing in Germany where I experienced a very particular “ sensory ecosystem.” She asked me to share my thoughts on being childfree by choice, and I was also able to share my experiences as a bone marrow donor and my association with the Icla da Silva Foundation.

Fear not – we talked business too, specifically about this idea of sensory wellness, how “switching off to switch on” and caring for your senses with attention and purpose can be massively restorative. Thank you, Isabel!
